Starfall was officially launched on August 3rd, 2008, but I started working on it over a year earlier. It has two purposes really... to help people understand Chinese music, to spread the popularity of Chinese music.... and to help me practice my Chinese. ;P Ok, that was three, but whatever. ^^ The goal for me is to translate as many songs as possible so people can really appreciate what they're listening to! Many popular Chinese songs already have translations out there on the Internet, but I wanted to put them together in one place. And anyways, lots of those translations either don't make sense or use extremely odd English that nobody actually uses in real life. So I have tried to translate more of the "feel" of the song than the literal translation which usually results in some extremely weird things. Using the Site: This site is pretty straightforward. Click albums in the navigation to be taken to a page with all the complete albums I've translated. Click songs for miscellaneous songs. Since this is a translation site, nearly all the lyrics will have translations. Clicking on the original title of the song will take you to a page with the original Chinese text and pinyin, and clicking on the translation next to the title will take you to a page with the pinyin and English translation. I will post whole albums at a time, so if there is a track you can't click on, it's most likely instrumental or an interlude or something.
